re•creation
re•creation (A Play on Words) is a solo contemporary art exhibition, crafted with the goal to uplift each viewer. It is an homage to my days working in early childhood education and as a nanny. In that line of work I was trained in the philosophy that “children learn through play.” Throughout my practice I have learned that this concept is also true with people of all ages. We all are constantly learning and developing in this life. Recreation can look very different for each person but in this show it is my hope that through play the viewer can experience the depth of life’s complex lessons. Although our lives can be challenging, learning doesn’t always have to be charged by fear. This exhibition seeks to put the fun back into fundamentals.
Swap, Share & Support
Swap, Share & Support is a community event designed to bring people together through sustainable exchange and seasonal giving. Centered on clothing, art, and trinkets, the event invites guests to refresh their wardrobes and spaces while supporting local families through non-perishable food, hygiene products, and house-hold donations for Thanksgiving. The weekend blends sustainability, creativity, and generosity. Offering an experience that feels more like a cozy boutique pop-up than a traditional swap.

Final Friday: Unveiling a Forgotten Legacy by Zola Lamothe
🎉✨ Unveiling a Forgotten Legacy – Final Friday, October 25th! ✨🎉
Join us for an urgent and powerful exhibition by Power Plant Grant recipient Zola Lamothe, as she uses set design and photography to uncover the erased history of Indianapolis. This is more than art—it’s call to stand against displacement.
Thanks to the Power Plant Grant, supported by Big Car Collaborative and funded by the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, Zola’s work shines a light on the families, homes, and churches that once thrived where the Indiana University Indianapolis campus now stands. She vividly recreates intimate scenes from these lost spaces, demanding that we confront how gentrification has stripped away vital pieces of our city’s cultural fabric.
As you witness the stark contrast between what was and what is, this exhibition compels us to act. We cannot allow this to continue. We must challenge the policies and laws that fuel displacement and fight for reforms that protect our communities. Together, we can resist further erasure and reclaim our neighborhoods for the people who have always called them home.
This is a moment for reflection, but also for action.
